Ballistic
With the growing threat of gun crime and terrorism, ballistic protection within buildings has become an essential consideration to protect life, property and infrastructure against the potential of armed attacks.
Ballistic attacks are becoming an increasingly present threat in our everyday lives, often targeting high-profile individuals or critical national infrastructure locations. While ballistic-resistant doors are a crucial line of defence, the installed locking systems must also be certified to provide consistent, all-encompassing protection. Ballistic-resistant locking systems are a vital component in preventing doors from failing when struck by bullets to keep equipment secure from damage and occupants safe from bodily harm.
Tindall Engineering recognises these concerns and continues to develop products capable of withstanding ballistic attacks targeting high-risk sites.
The MICO high-performance locking range has been independently tested and certified in accordance with NIJ 0108.01, ensuring ballistic doorsets remain uncompromised in the face of firearm attacks. The Modula and the Flush Bolt, combined with the LSCH cylinder guard, have passed NIJ 0108.01 Level 3 to prevent bullet penetration through our reinforced external hardware.
In conjunction with physical attack and blast resistance performance, our high-security ballistic solutions provide true multidisciplinary protection when fitted to suitably constructed doorsets.
