POWER-TOOL-RESISTANT SECURITY FOR HIGH-RISK SITES
Critical national infrastructure (CNI) facilities and other sensitive sites must resist forced entry attempts until authorities arrive. If a control room falls into the wrong hands, vital supplies and utilities can be cut off, causing severe operational and financial damage regionally or nationwide. Our LPS 1175-certified solutions offer robust security and proven performance to delay attackers and protect these integral facilities.
LPS 1175 D+-certified locking solutions are often considered a strong benchmark for forced entry resistance at high-risk sites. Physical security products installed at these locations must withstand a sustained attack, as they are often the last line of defence between perpetrators and their target. To ensure robust, uncompromising security, LPS 1175 certification is earned only through independent, rigorous testing.
That is why our MICO range, with solutions tested and certified up to LPS 1175: Issue 8 Security Rating G1*, is the ideal solution for locations where minutes of resistance can help prevent a national supply chain issue.
LPS 1175: WHAT DOES A D+ RATING MEAN?
The D+ classification falls under Issue 8 of the standard, which combines a tool category (A–H) and a minimum delay time (1–20 minutes). Category D, for example, includes both power and manual tools, meaning D‑rated products are tested against attackers equipped with drills, saws, and other powered equipment. Locations preparing for attacks targeting high‑value assets or critical infrastructure are often recommended to install solutions certified to LPS 1175: Issue 8 Security Rating D-H.

For security specifiers, insurers, and facility managers, assurance that the solutions they choose can deliver verified delay time long enough for detection, verification, and response is critical.
This is not necessarily limited to locking systems on doorsets: internal cages securing critical equipment, perimeter gates in remote locations, and containers storing/shipping valuable assets can all benefit from this enhanced level of protection.
